How not to lose candidates in the hiring process

Updated: Jan 10, 2023

Is your hiring process streamlined enough to not lose talents? What's your turnover time? 2, 3, 4 weeks or longer? The reality is that job applicants with desirable qualifications are getting hired within days, possibly before you even send them the first email! This is especially true in the current hot job market.

Here are some things you can do:

1. Review applications every 1-2 days then reach out to a potential candidate for screening right away.

2. After initial screening, keep candidate engaged by letting them know when they'd hear back at every stage and keep your word.

3. If you must have more than 2 interviews, try consolidating them into 2 by doing group or back-to-back interviews especially for position that are mid level or below.

4. Remember you can never be 100% sure if the candidate is right just by interviewing. That's what the probationary period is for.

If your hiring process is streamlined, not only will you be more likely to get the desired candidates but the candidate experience will also be improved.

What's the biggest challenge you're facing in hiring right now?
